Tax & exports

Prepare tax exports

Review your year, inspect categories and mileage, and export records for an accountant.

Choose the right report

  1. Open Tax Center. Confirm the active country and choose the tax year you need.
  2. Inspect the date range. Tax years differ by country; do not assume every report is January through December.
  3. Review receipt counts, category totals, mileage and any records excluded pending review. Open the underlying records to fix missing details.
  4. Open Tax report options before relying on calculated deductions. Set the appropriate treatment for purchase tax and each vehicle.

Choose an export format

CSV provides transaction rows suitable for spreadsheet import. Excel provides a workbook of schedule-oriented records. PDF provides a readable summary. ZIP packages report files and receipt evidence together, including mileage records when present. These are accountant working records, not completed government returns.

Prepare and share

  1. Choose Export, select a format, and use the preparation action shown by the app.
  2. Wait for the file to finish. Review the selected year and country before opening the share action.
  3. Save or share to your chosen destination. On Mac, choose a location using the native file/share controls where available.
  4. Open the saved files yourself and verify their period, totals and source information before sending them to your accountant.

Customer income in the ZIP package

  • Income-Payments-Received: receipts selected by payment date, including negative Money returned rows on the date returned.
  • Income-Invoices-Issued: sent and voided invoices selected by issue date, including their typed advance, Paid On and void details. Draft invoices are not issued income records.
  • Income-Invoice-Voids: invoices selected by the date they were voided, even if issued in an earlier year. Amounts are references to the original invoice, not new negative income entries.

Archived jobs remain included. The files describe different facts; do not add payment receipts and invoice totals together as one income total. Give the package to your accountant with the supporting records.

Free sample versus real export

Pro is required for full exports of your real receipts and jobs. The free plan produces fabricated sample records, visibly labelled Sample. Do not send a sample export as your business accounts. Upgrading changes availability, so review the prepared file again after changing subscription status.

Understand the source and review status

The app bundles country/year tax data and can receive signed public updates from iCloud. Export provenance identifies the data used. Some years can use provisional rules pending a reviewed edition. Read notices and consult your accountant about excluded, limited or uncertain amounts. Published rates do not prove a vehicle or expense qualifies.

Supported country schedules

Expense groupings cover US Schedule C, UK self-employment reporting, Canada T2125, Australian business/professional items, Irish Form 11 and New Zealand IR10. The app does not submit these forms to the authorities or calculate every part of your tax liability.
