JobLedger Pro Privacy Policy
JobLedger Pro is built so that your business records stay yours. We (the developer of JobLedger Pro) do not automatically collect, receive or store your business records, and the app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking.
Your data stays on your devices and in your iCloud
Everything you enter — jobs, customers, receipts (including the receipt images and the text read from them), quotes, invoices, payments, mileage trips, tasks and your company profile — is stored on your device. If iCloud sync is on, it is also stored in your own private iCloud account so it appears on your other Apple devices. Apple stores that data under Apple's privacy policy; we cannot access it.
How the app uses device features
- Camera and photos — to scan receipts and import receipt images you choose, and to save a scanned receipt to your photo library when you ask it to.
- Receipt reading — text is read from receipts on your device (Apple's on-device text recognition and, where available, Apple Intelligence running on the device). Receipt images are not uploaded to us.
- Job suggestions — the job name and scope you enter can be processed by on-device models, including Apple Intelligence where available, to suggest job details and estimate items. These AI inputs are not sent to an external AI provider.
- Location — only during a mileage trip you start, to record its route and distance, including while the screen is locked. Tracking stops when you end the trip. Trip routes are stored with your other data, never sent to us.
- Maps and address lookups — address searches and route calculations use Apple’s mapping services. When a GPS trip is saved, its start and end coordinates can be sent to Apple to look up addresses. These requests are handled under Apple’s privacy policy; the developer does not receive them.
- Calendar — when you enable Add to Calendar for a Dashboard task, the app creates and maintains its linked Calendar event. Calendar access lets it find, update or remove that event.
- Face ID / Touch ID — to lock the app if you turn on App Lock. Apple handles the check; the app never receives your biometric data.
- Notifications — task reminders are scheduled on your device.
Your choices and permissions
You can turn off optional iCloud sync and App Lock in the app’s Settings, and change Camera, Photos, Location, Calendar and Notifications permissions in your device’s system settings. Changing sync does not erase records already stored in iCloud. Restricting a permission can limit the feature that uses it.
Tax rule updates
JobLedger Pro periodically downloads updated tax rules and mileage rates from Apple's iCloud servers. The download contains no personal information and does not identify you: it is the same public file for every user. Apple processes the network request, including your device's IP address, under Apple's privacy policy; we do not receive or store it.
Purchases
Subscriptions are bought and managed through Apple. We do not receive your payment details; the app only checks with Apple whether your subscription is active.
Sharing and exports
Files you create in the app — invoices, quotes, tax exports — are shared only where and when you choose to share them.
What we don't do
The app does not sell your business records, use them for advertising, include in-app analytics or tracking tools, or send them to an external AI provider. Optional Apple services and sharing you choose work as described above.
This website and support correspondence
This website is hosted through Cloudflare and uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for page-view and performance metrics. These website metrics are separate from the app, which contains no analytics. Cloudflare describes Web Analytics as privacy-first and states that it does not collect or use visitors' personal data. See Cloudflare's Web Analytics documentation and privacy policy for details.
If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send, and use it to respond to your request. Please avoid sending receipt images or financial records unless they are needed to resolve your issue. This voluntary correspondence is separate from the records stored in the app. We retain support correspondence for 24 months. You can contact support@jobledgerpro.com to request deletion.
The password-protected tester portal stores authorized testers’ usernames, test results, notes and preferences in Cloudflare D1. These records help us test the app; the portal administrator can review them. Testers should use fabricated examples rather than customer or financial records.
Retaining and deleting your data
App records remain in local storage and, when enabled, your private iCloud until removed from those locations. Exported files, saved photos, Calendar events and device backups can have separate copies that you manage through their respective apps and services.
Delete eligible records in the app. Jobs with payment or issued-invoice history are archived to retain that history; archiving does not erase them. Removing the app does not erase synced iCloud records and may leave local data on Mac. To remove the app’s synced data, use your device’s iCloud storage management for JobLedger Pro. Export any records you need to retain before removing data.
Children
JobLedger Pro is a business tool and is not directed at children.
Your rights
We cannot access or change the business records in your private iCloud account. For questions about information you have emailed to support, contact us below. If you have questions about your privacy rights, including under the UK GDPR or EU GDPR, contact us below.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
