Set up and troubleshoot iCloud sync

Use one Apple account, apply sync changes with a restart and handle conflicts without losing records.

Enable sync

  1. Sign in to the same Apple account on the devices you want to use. Enable iCloud for JobLedger Pro in the system settings.
  2. In the app’s Settings, check iCloud Sync. If you change it, read the restart message.
  3. Save ongoing work and close/reopen the app as instructed. On Mac, only quit after saving succeeds.
  4. Open the app on the other device, select the same country/year, and allow time for records to appear.

What sync stores

Business records are stored on your device and, when enabled, in your private iCloud account. This is separate from the public iCloud download of tax-rule updates. Private sync does not make your records public or turn the app into shared multi-user accounting.

Check a missing record

  1. Confirm the same account, active country, tax year and filters on both devices.
  2. Make sure both devices have a network connection and enough iCloud storage. Inspect sync messages or status in the app.
  3. Leave the app open long enough to finish work and imports. Large receipt evidence can take longer than small text records.
  4. Use one device to make a correction, then wait for sync before editing the same record elsewhere.

Handle conflicts

Offline editing can create duplicate document numbers, competing business profiles or payment/recurring conflicts. Read the warning and compare the original records. Keep the version already shared with a customer where appropriate. Do not assume that a duplicate is safe to delete just because its date is newer.

Protect your records

Do not uninstall the app, delete iCloud storage or repeatedly toggle sync as a first troubleshooting step. A device may hold records that have not reached iCloud. Record the error and preserve the device’s data before asking support. Disabling sync should not be treated as deleting the cloud copy; read the app’s change instructions.
