Use Home, Tasks and Expenses & Payment

Switch dashboard views, open recent records and distinguish invoice Outstanding from the job’s received money.

Choose a dashboard view

Use the Home, Tasks and Expenses & Payment pills. Home shows recent receipts, recent trips, active jobs and upcoming work. Use See all to open the corresponding full list. The layout button switches Home between lists and horizontal cards.

Start a new action

Home offers shortcuts for a new job, task or client, receipt scanning/upload and mileage. On Mac, use the header shortcuts; the available receipt import controls replace camera scanning. A free-plan limit is checked when you start an add action, before entering or scanning the record.

Manage tasks on the Dashboard

Choose Tasks to view overdue work, To Do and completed tasks. Use Add Task to create one. Open a task to edit it, use its checkbox to complete it, or Undo an accidental completion. Tasks can reference jobs but do not appear on a job’s Details page.

Inspect one job’s money

  1. Choose Expenses & Payment.
  2. Select the job you want to inspect. The choices follow the selected country and tax year.
  3. Read its receipt/mileage costs separately from customer Received and any Overpaid amount.
  4. Open an invoice under Outstanding to inspect the unpaid bill. Marking it Paid removes it from that list; recording a job payment does not mark it Paid automatically.

Understand why amounts differ

Job Still to receive is based on sent invoice amounts payable less money recorded on the job. Invoice Outstanding follows the invoice’s manually set Paid status and its typed advance. These totals can differ. Check both receipt records and invoice status before changing anything.

Keep in mind

Job estimates and cost/profit figures are planning aids. They do not automatically include your own labour value, all overheads or every accounting adjustment.

Find a missing record

Check the active country and tax year, clear search/status filters, and look for Archived jobs. A job can span years while a receipt’s own date places it in a reporting period. If another device has the record, inspect sync status before creating a duplicate.
